International Certificate of Competency (I.C.C.)

The Irish National Sailing Club is delighted to offer I.C.C.  Dates are by arrangement with ourselves and we generally work on a one-to-one basis with the client.

What is The I.C.C.?

The International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft (ICC) was established under resolution No. 40 of the Working Party on Inland Water Transport for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

The aim of the ICC is to provide boat owners and people wishing to charter boats with an internationally recognised document certifying their competence to skipper a boat for recreational use.

The following information details the methods and procedures by which the ICC will be issued through the offices of the Irish Sailing Association on behalf of the Irish Government.
