The club committee, in association with the Irish National Sailing & Powerboat School, is delighted to announce that the squibs will be available for use by club members outside of the club sailing hours of Saturday 2-5pm, Sunday 10am-1pm and Wednesday’s 6.30-9.30pm. Squibs can be used when there are other activities on in the school. Here's how you can avail of this...
Pre-Requisites…
- Members should be able to rig, leave the mooring and return safely to it without assistance.
- Members should be able to operate a hand-held VHF Radio as they will need to contact the INSS office to arrange collection by launch after their sail, or indeed if they need assistance on the water. Members will need to collect and return this as part of their duties.
- An operating plan needs to be agreed with the designated Senior Instructor in the INSS office prior to sailing.
Pick Your Date…
A calendar when the school is open and squibs is available here. This will also be displayed on the club notice board and updated each Saturday morning.
Book In…
Members just need to pick a time and date, give the school office on 01 2844915 a call to book and you’re in! The cost will be two club vouchers per boat for the 3 hours in total. So for two members the cost would be one voucher each.
